One lumber executive was from the Washington, D.C.-area. Another was based in San Marcos, Texas. One ran six units, the other 83, but they both share a common award -- the Home Channel News Pro Dealer of the Year award.

TW Perry accepts Pro Dealer of the Year award

San Antonio — TW Perry CEO Michael Cassidy accepted a plaque recognizing his company’s achievements, shook hands with the event’s sponsor, smiled for a photograph and approached the podium. 

What followed was a Pro Dealer of the Year Award acceptance speech and, eventually, a standing ovation.

TW Perry accepts Pro Dealer of the Year award

San Antonio -- TW Perry accepted the 2011 Pro Dealer of the Year award last week during the ProDealer Industry Summit held here at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio.

"We didn't win this award by ourselves," said TW Perry CEO Michael Cassidy, in his acceptance speech. "Without all this support, without all the mentors and vendors and people who helped teach us over the years, we wouldn't be here."

Cassidy's speech stressed the value of corporate culture, the importance of mentors and the close-knit nature of the LBM industry.

In a little less than two months, Gaithersburg, Md.-based TW Perry CEO Michael Cassidy will be called to a podium at the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio, Texas, during the 2011 ProDealer Industry Summit, an event hosted jointly by the National Lumber & Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) and Home Channel News.

TW Perry named HCN Pro Dealer of the Year

Gaithersburg, Md.-based TW Perry, a pro dealer celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2011, was selected as the Home Channel News Pro Dealer of the Year.

The company will be recognized during a special awards dinner during the 2011 ProDealer Industry Summit held in San Antonio Oct. 26 to 28.  The summit is hosted jointly by the National Lumber & Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) and Home Channel News.

TW Perry hosts 3rd Annual Green Building Workshop

Gaithersburg, Md.-based pro dealer TW Perry will host its Third Annual Green Building Workshop March 17 in Fairfax, Va.

The daylong event, presented in partnership with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, represents the six-unit dealer's commitment to the green building market. TW Perry is certified by both the Forest Stewardship Council and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.
