Klein Tools released the new Switch Drive Handle System to easily alternate any accessory with a power groove between a power tool and hand tool.

While power drills can make quick work of large fastening jobs, a screwdriver is still needed for those times when you need the finesse of a hand tool, the Lincolnshire, Illinois-based company explained. Klein’s new Switch Drive Handle System allows end users to switch between a power drill and hand tool minimizing the number of tools and saving space.

Building on its first pneumatic stapler, Arrow Fasteners has introduced a line of pneumatic tools. In addition to the PT50 stapler, the New Jersey-based company's line of pneumatic tools includes a brad nailer, pin nailer and an angled nailer, all for use in profession and DIY projects.

New York City-based General Tools & Instruments is beginning a new chapter in its colorful (black and yellow) history.

The company was acquired by New York City-based investment firm Highroad Capital Partners in February. Terms of the deal were not released. But in an interview with HCN at the National Hardware Show, principals from Highroad Capital said they liked what they saw in the tool company, and vice versa.

Diablo has announced the launch of its Demo Demon Carbide-Tipped Reciprocating Blade, which the company says can double cutting speed in nail-embedded wood and offer 10 times the cutting life of standard blades.

The Demo Demon features an improved plunge tip for more efficient plunge cutting. It also includes an optimized carbide tip bond and enhanced grinding geometry of tips for faster cutting performance and greater durability.
