This is a little progress from four years earlier, in which 35% of American workers reported they were being bullied or had been bullied.

Cemex has announced two successors to the late Lorenzo Zambrano's title as chairman and CEO of the company.

The board has unanimously appointed director Rogelio Zambrano as chairman and former EVP finance and administration Fernando Gonzalez as CEO, effective immediately.

The move came swiftly after the passing of longtime chairman and CEO Lorenzo Zambrano, who died unexpectedly on Monday during a business trip in Madrid.

The Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association (STAFDA) announced Ben Battaglia, VP sales for Robert Bosh Tool Corp of Mount Prospect, Illinois, will deliver the STAFDA Associate State-of-the-Industry address during the group’s Nov. 9-11 convention.

Battaglia leads a sales team for brands, including Bosch, Skil, Dremel, RotoZip and CST Berger. He joined Bosch in 1995 and has held a number of positions of responsibility.

The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association convention was held in Washington DC on March 31 thru April 2. I was in attendance with my fun and beautiful wife Melinda Ganahl. After I took the role of the WCLBMA President in late 2013, [WCLBMA Executive Director] Ken Dunham and I discussed the various duties I needed to perform. On that list was attending the National Legislative Conference in DC. The purpose of my being there was to represent our West Coast interests.

Versatex Trimboard products are manufactured by Wolfpac Technologies of Pittsburgh.

Andersen Corp. has promoted SVP and general counsel Alan Bernick to the post of chief legal officer.

In his new role, Bernick will maintain his current responsibilities within the Legal Department and Internal Audit Services and will take on additional oversight for the Real Estate Services department. He will retain his role as SVP and corporate secretary.
