The Keeney Manufacturing Company and Plumb Pak, a plumbing industry supplier, welcomed John Watkins to its sales management team.

Watkins is responsible for key account sales and will be based out of Chicago. 

He is a graduate of Purdue University and brings 15 years of experience working with leading retail and wholesale accounts in the plumbing and hardware industry, the company said.

Dr. BJ Yeh has been named chairman of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) 1369 Technical Committee on Wood-Based Panels.

The Committee puts out four national consensus standards on plywood and oriented strand board in Canada: CSA O121 Candian Douglas Fir Plywood, CSA O151 Canadian Softwood Plywood, CSA O153 Poplar Plywood and CSA O325 Construction Sheathing.

Yeh is also director of technical services for APA-The Engineered Wood Association, which sponsors CSA standards on wood structural panels and structural glued laminated timber.

Rayonier Inc. has named Mark McHugh to the role of SVP and CFO, effective Dec. 12, 2014.

McHugh brings 15 years of financial experience to the table, specifically in the timberland, paper, forest products and REIT sectors. In his most recent role, he was managing director for Raymond James' REIT group and was responsible for the firm's timberland and agriculture sector coverage.

In a move that's partially a response to its recent acquisition of Indesit Company, Whirlpool Corporation has made some changes to its leadership ranks in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region).

Whirlpool EMEA's president, Esther Berrozpe, will take over the company's integrated European business -- the combined operations of Whirlpool and Indesit -- beginning Jan. 1. 

Additionally, Marco Milani has announced his plans to step down from his position as Indesit's CEO, effective Dec. 31.

The APA-The Engineered Wood Association recognized the Metriguard president with a Bronson J. Lewis award at its Annual Meeting this year.

Jim Logan, owner and president of Pullman, Washington-based Metriguard Inc., was honored during the event in San Antonio, Texas, this past November, where APA chairman Tom Temple introduced him as "[a true] pioneer in the engineered wood products industry."

Logan and Metriguard have been a part of the engineered wood industry for 42 years, providing equipment to aid in the production and testing of lumber, veneer and panels.

Gowett is Milpitas, California-based Acme’s VP of sales and marketing. He is also the founder of Bay Tool Supply, which he sold to Acme in the summer of 2014.

The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company has named Brian Finn to its board of directors, replacing Stepanie Shern, who resigned from the board in October. Finn will serve on the Audit and Finance Committees for a term expiring in 2017.

Finn has been retired since last year, when he left his post as chairman and CEO of Asset Management Finance Corporation and as senior advisor to Credit Suisse. He held various other roles at Credit Suisse, including president of Credit Suisse First Boston and CEO of Credit Suisse USA.

Commerce City, Colorado-based Atlas Copco Construction Equipment added two new professionals to its growing rental channel. The company named Marty Molthen as district sales manager of the company’s Southwest rental channel and DeAnna Wells as its area sales manager for East Texas and Louisiana territory.

Atlas Copco provides rental customers a breadth of products and a range of consulting, selling and financing services, as well as equipment servicing and refurbishing.

Eagle Materials has tapped Michael Haack to fill the new COO role, which was created to service the company's recent wave of growth and expansion in construction and energy-related markets.

He joins the company following a 17-year stint with Halliburton Energy Services, where he most recently served in a management role within Global Operations for Sperry Drilling. The multi-billion dollar company has operations in every major oil and gas market.

Maria Stapperfenne, a 23-year industry veteran, will become president of the National Kitchen & Bath Association, effective Jan. 1. 

Stapperfenne, of Tewksbury Kitchens & Baths in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, started her career in kitchens and baths in 1992, becoming a Certified Kitchen Designer in 2005 and a Certified Bath Designer in 2006.

Isaac Preston, president and CEO of Continental Building Products, has passed away at the age of 54.

According to the Herndon, Virginia-based supplier of gypsum wallboard, joint compound and complementary finishing products, Mr. Preston died in his sleep on Nov. 25.

GE has appointed four new executives, three of which are brand new to the company. The move expands GE's total number of officers to 196 globally.

Harel Kodesh is now VP, CTO GE Software. He is joining the company from Nurego, where he served as CEO and founder. He has also held exeuctive roles with EMC Corp.’s Cloud business; Mozy, an EMC subsidiary; and Amdocs.
