Joining the Earth Hour campaign, Haier is asking its employees to shut off the lights at home for one hour on March 31st at 8:30 p.m. local time in support of the global sustainability awareness campaign.

Haier chose Earth Hour as the launching point for the Smarter Life, Better Planet campaign which tracks and supports the inspiring visionaries, organizations and ideas paving the way for the world of tomorrow.

Encompass Parts Distribution has finalized an agreement with Haier, the manufacturer of home appliances and consumer electronics, to manage the company’s end-to-end parts supply chain.

Under the agreement, Encompass will procure, warehouse and distribute replacement parts for Haier’s full line of consumer electronics, appliance and HVAC products in North America. Encompass has developed a special Web portal for Haier servicers and distributors to search for and order parts, as well as track order status, initiate returns and more.

New York-based Haier has redesigned its Haieramerica.com website.

“Over the past several months we have globalized the Haier brand through a consistent logo and company tagline, Smarter Life-Better Planet,” said Richard Block, Haier’s VP marketing, North America. “The next component of that strategy is our website, which now has a new look and much more consumer-friendly navigation.”

New York City-based Haier America has announced the realignment of the company by creating a structure to be "fully integrated and aligned" under three main Product Business Divisions, the company announced. The Product Business Divisions will include Air Conditioning Group (ACG), White Goods Group (WGG), and Digital Products Group (DPG).

Appliance maker Haier has joined as a sponsor of the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA). 

NPCA represents more than 600,000 members and supporters throughout the country whose help is crucial to the mission of protecting and improving national parks.

The partnership goes hand in hand with Haier’s recent efforts to raise awareness and about sustainable living, including the launch of its new line of energy-efficient appliances, according to New York City-based Haier.
