CalStar Products' new CFO is Jack Barry, an experienced C-level executive with a wealth of experience in LEAN manufacturing principles.

St. Louis-based Huttig Building Products hired Bob Kern Sr. as the new territory manager to cover southern New Jersey from the Huttig Wilkes-Barre branch in Pennsylvania. 

Kern has more than 20 years of experience in the building materials industry. He started his career with Peter Lumber Company in Pleasantville, New Jersey, where he was the operations manager for many years. Most recently, Kern was territory manager with Milliken Millwork.

The Hyde Group has promoted Robert Scoble to a new key role as president of Hyde Group. 

Scoble will be responsible for all the Hyde Group companies, which are Hyde Tools and Industrial Blade Solutions, of Southbridge, Massachusetts, and A. Richard Tools of Canada.

Young is EVP at climate control company Lennox International, Inc., where he's worked since 1999. He also served as president and COO of that company's Residential Heating and Cooling division.

Boire will be acting president and CEO of Sears Canada, effective immediately. He was most recently executive VP, chief merchandising officer and president, Sears and Kmart Formats.

Plano, Texas-based Rent-A-Center Inc. appointed Anurag Gupta to VP, enterprise project management office (EPMO).

Reporting to Doug Guziec, senior VP and chief strategy officer, Gupta is charged with broad oversight of Rent-A-Center’s portfolio of business initiatives. His responsibilities include the establishment of processes and controls designed to manage all phases of these initiatives. He's also tasked with the strategic evaluation of prospective business initiatives with an eye for determining which are green-lighted and when they are to be initiated.

Ellison is currently executive VP stores at The Home Depot.

True Value has hired Jean Niemi, a former Home Depot communications executive, as the Chicago-based co-op’s new senior director, corporate communications. 

A veteran communications executive with more than 15 years of experience at Fortune 500 corporations and leading public relations agencies, Niemi will lead and oversee all media relations, executive engagements, employee and retailer communications, and manage the corporate communications team.

The International Housewares Association named Gary Seehoff as vice chairman and chairman elect of the Rosemont, Illinois-based industry association.

Sehoff is the CEO of Evriholder Products, which he founded in 1994 after inventing its first two products: the Twirl A Tie and the Twirl A Belt. Today, the company is one of the largest distributors of housewares impulse products in the kitchen, barware, cleaning, storage and bath and personal care categories.

In his new role, Schmitt will be responsible for Huttig locations in Augusta and Saco, Maine; Newington, Connecticut; Taunton, Massachusetts;  Hooksett, New hampshire and Selkirk, N.Y.

D.R. Horton, Inc.'s vice chairman, president and CEO Donald Tomnitz has officially retired, having been succeeded by David Auld on Oct. 1.

Auld was previously serving as EVP and COO and has now taken on the formal title of president and CEO. He has been with the company since 1988, initially joining the team as division president, Orlando. He was promoted to region president for Florida and the Carolinas in 2005, and he was tapped to serve in his most recent role last November.

Lumber Liquidators has promoted Ray Cotton to the title of SVP and chief compliance and sustainability officer.

In his new role, he will take on the added task of leading the company's strategic quality and sustainability initiatives, its environmental outreach and its sourcing and product compliance policies.

Cotton was most recently serving as VP and chief compliance and sustainability officer. He will maintain his responsibilities overseeing quality assurance, sustainable sourcing, loss prevention, risk management and legal compliance.

Exactly one year from the day that news broke of former CEO Calvin McDonald's departure, Sears Canada has again announced that there will be turnover in its leadership ranks.

Douglas Campbell, who replaced McDonald as president and CEO after he suddenly resigned last year, has given notice of his impending resignation, which will take effect as soon as the company finds a replacement (but no later than January 1, 2015).

MyHome, a New York City-based kitchen and bath renovation company, has a new CEO in Noam Hanuka.

In his new role, Hanuka will have oversight of all aspects of the company's operations, including sales, marketing, production and customer service.

According to the company, MyHome's recent growth led founder Yoel Piotraut to seek fresh leadership looking into 2014 and 2015, especially with a major boost in clientele expected.

Hanuka's resume includes over a decade's worth of experience managing global companies.
