Architectural Gardens of Lake Forest, Ill., has won an Excellence in Landscape Award transforming a featureless backyard into an urban-like outdoor living area.

AG's award-winning project was styled to bring the feeling of an urban rooftop garden to a standard suburban backyard.

Lowe's has announced that it will partner with the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) in order to launch a program to educate and train Lowe's employees who specialize in interior kitchen and bath projects.

Because of this membership and training program, Lowe's employees who work in the kitchen cabinets, countertops and fashion plumbing departments and as interior project specialists will have the opportunity to earn NKBA certifications.

Recognizing that casual retailers' inventories are currently at a low point, Pittsburgh, Pa.-based Creekvine Designs is poised to provide quick and drop ship services for their extensive American-Made product line. 

The company announced its drop ship and quick ship capabilities to fill in-season order requests.

With the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show only weeks away — it runs from April 26 to 28 in Las Vegas — the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) just released the results of its annual members’ poll about upcoming design trends. The Hackettstown, N.J.-based trade group asked 100 of its designers what they’ve been installing in their clients’ kitchens and bathrooms, and then distilled the results into 11 trends.
