Fremont, Ohio based hardware store Swint-Reineck Hardware is set to close by the end of the year, according to an article in the Port Clinton News Herald .  

The store, which opened in 1850, was the city’s first hardware store. Company president Gary Zimmerman said the store has been under performing for the past 10 years.
