(May15) Just a year shy of its 100th Anniversary, Schappell Hardware in Topton, Pa., is closing its doors, according to WFMZ-TV News, an Eastern Pennsylvania/Western New Jersey station.

Troy Fairchild, who has owned the store for 30 years, said he can’t compete with the big-box stores anymore, the TV station reported.
