Whirlpool signs deal with home builder

Benton Harbor, Mich.-based Whirlpool Corp. signed a supplier agreement with David Weekley Homes.

“As two companies that strive to provide homeowners with design, choice and service, we’re excited that David Weekley Homes customers will now have the array of kitchen suites and laundry choices that only the Whirlpool Corporation can provide through our Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid and Jenn-Air brands,” said Bob Bergeth, general manager, Whirlpool builder sales. “This agreement is a great cultural and business fit, and we’re looking forward to the growth that comes from working with David Weekley Homes as the home-building recovery continues to gain ground.”

David Weekley Homes builds first-time, move-up and luxury homes in 17 cities across the Southeast, Southwest and Midwest. 

David Weekley Homes ranked as the nation’s 17th-largest home builder in the United States closing on nearly 2,500 homes in 2012, according to a recent industry study.
