Vic Carlson named SVP marketing at Hunter Douglas

Carlson has left Panasonic to join Hunter Douglas.

Pearl River, N.Y.-based Hunter Douglas, Inc. has welcomed Vic Carlson to its team as its newest SVP marketing.

Carlson, who will report directly to president and COO Ron Kass, is replacing Jim Mathews, who is retiring after 25 years with the company.

"We warmly welcome Vic to Hunter Douglas," said Kass. "With his wealth of consumer marketing experience, Vic is well-suited to take over the Hunter Douglas leadership role in strong, category-building marketing. In addition, Vic will lead efforts to accelerate the development of new digital-based marketing programs designed to drive high brand demand and qualified leads to our dealer partners.”

Previously, Carlson was VP consumer marketing and digital commerce at Panasonic Corporation of North America. He has also had stints in product and consumer brand management with Kraft Foods, Nestle and Mars.
