Sears Hometown breaks ground in Oklahoma

Oklahoma is getting a new Sears Hometown location, slated to open July 30 in Shawnee, about 45 minutes east of Oklahoma City.

"We look forward to providing the Shawnee community the largest selection of home appliances, tools, and lawn and garden equipment at the lowest possible price," said Ryan Guyer, local owner of the new Sears Hometown Store in Shawnee. "Our highly skilled Shawnee team and in-store Internet kiosks are ready to provide customers with expert product knowledge to ensure they're getting the best competitive pricing and the best product around -- they can price check other retailers and read customer reviews right in our store."

The Shawnee location, like other Sears Hometown stores, will be outfitted to provide local customers with products and brands usually only found in Sears stores. Customers will also be able to order any product offered by Sears, with the option to order the products online and pick them up in-store.

The new store, which will be the sixth Sears Hometown Store to open this year and the 16th of any Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores formats, will be located at 4901 N. Kickapoo St., Suite 3001.
