Sears to cut more at Dallas service center

Sears Holdings will eliminate about 112 accounting jobs at its national support center in Dallas, according to a report by the Dallas Morning News.

The layoffs in Dallas will begin within the month, and will be completed by May. The office employs around 300 people in all.

In August, Sears Holdings cut approximately 50 jobs at a Dallas-based National Claims and National Support Center.

At that time, the company said that the entire service facility is not closing, and with the recent round of layoffs, Sears maintained that position.

The Dallas service center is one of six nationwide.
