The president of Central Valley Building Supply in Northern California will lead the state’s association of lumberyard owners.
Steve Patterson, president of Central Valley Building Supply, has been elected as the president of the Lumber Association of California and Nevada (LACN) for 2009. The 500-member trade group has represented the interests of building material dealers and their suppliers since the early 1900s.
Patterson is a third-generation owner of Central Valley Building Supply, a four-unit chain headquartered in Northern California’s Napa Valley. Patterson’s parents, Bob Patterson (now deceased) and Kathleen Patterson, also served as LACN presidents in 1983 and 1995, respectively.
