Jim’s Builders Hardware in Wichita, Kan., is closing after more than three decades, according to an article in The Wichita Eagle.
“We’re just closing because of the economy,” owner Jeanne McKiernan told the paper. “It’s really a melancholy situation. We didn’t want to close.”
McKiernan’s late husband, Jim, and a business partner started the company in 1979. The store then moved to Delano in Wichita.
McCurdy Auction will auction the property and its contents on Nov. 28.
