Gladiator GarageWorks to anchor hardware show’s storage section

National Hardware Show organizers announced that Gladiator GarageWorks will anchor the Storage and Organization section at the 2009 event, to be held May 5 to 7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Gladiator GarageWorks, a Benton Harbor, Mich.-based company specializing in garage organization, will feature products, designs and ideas for consumers, while showing retailers how to increase sales with the features and benefits of its modular garage organization system, the company said.

Gladiator offers a coordinated look for organization products and appliances, including brackets, hooks, bins, and caddies that allow consumers to customize and organize their space.

"We are pleased that Gladiator GarageWorks has chosen to exhibit at the 2009 event," said Ed Several, group vice president and show manager of the National Hardware Show. "We applaud Gladiator’s commitment to their current and prospective retailer customer in providing those ways through product demos and new sales and marketing opportunities at the show."

According to the NPD Group, a leading provider of consumer and retail information, home channel retailers have an opportunity to increase their presence in the garage storage area, which is "somewhat immune to the current housing market downturn," said Mark Delaney, director of the NPD Group’s home division. "Garage storage is an up-and coming category that seems somewhat recession-proof."
