The 2011 True Value Spring and Rental Market came to a close Feb. 2 in Orlando, Fla. Some 1,500 suppliers participated in the event, which carried the theme: "Winning at retail."
Destination locations: A map on the show floor identifies coast-to-coast locations of stores that have embraced the Destination True Value design and retail principals. At last count, the co-op has 154 DTV locations.
Volunteers in action: Florida volunteers from Habitat for Humanity worked the market for donations of building products, particularly those that exhibitors preferred not to ship home.
All hands on deck: True Value's proprietary Master Mechanic brand of power tools underwent a makeover -- its first since 2005. Attendees were able to get hands-on instruction and demonstrations of the new tools.
Grill time: In addition to new products, there were plenty of merchandising ideas on display in Orlando. Here, a Weber grill is given star treatment in a simulated True Value store.
